About the performer
I'm a children's entertainer based in Oklahoma City, and for the last 15 years I've specialized in one thing: summer reading programs at public libraries.
I started Funky Monkey Events because I love the mission of public libraries — and I saw how much a really good, reliable program could mean to a children's librarian trying to make summer reading special. I built this site specifically for librarians, because you deserve a vendor who speaks your language.
I'm ODL-listed, insured, and I've performed at libraries across Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri. I respond to every inquiry within 24 hours and accept purchase orders. That's the whole pitch.

Why libraries
Most children's entertainers do birthday parties. I do libraries. That's not a small distinction — library audiences are different, library logistics are different, and library budgets have different approval processes.
After years of doing both, I focused entirely on libraries because the work is more meaningful, the relationships are longer, and librarians are genuinely the best clients I've ever worked with. They know their communities, they're organized, and they care deeply about what they're putting in front of kids.
Every program I offer is designed specifically for a library setting — the room sizes, the mixed-age audiences, the CSLP connection, the no-fuss setup. Nothing is repurposed from a birthday party act.
