Join the eccentric Professor Buckets for a high-energy science adventure exploring the fun and fascinating world of bubbles! This zany show combines humor, hands-on demonstrations, and amazing bubble stunts — including the Kid-in-a-Bubble finale.
The Professor Buckets show was built for libraries — it connects STEAM learning to storytelling, keeps every age in the room engaged, and ends on a moment that parents will photograph for years.
What happens
Professor Buckets enters as an eccentric scientist — lab coat, wild energy, and a case full of mysterious equipment. Right away, kids are laughing and leaning forward.
The show digs into the science of surface tension using kid-friendly language and visual demonstrations that make complex physics feel like magic. Bubbles grow inside bubbles. Giant floating spheres drift over the audience. The demonstrations escalate in scale and surprise.
An audience volunteer is called up at just the right moment. Then comes the finale: the Kid-in-a-Bubble — the volunteer is slowly surrounded by a bubble the size of a person, right on stage. This is the moment librarians warn you to have your phone ready.
